How can my group rent the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum for an event?

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation manages all facility rentals for the Reagan Library and Museum through its Presidential Catering division.  Call the facility rental department at 805-577-4118 or email events@reaganfoundation.org to determine which facility rental location is best for your group.  We are not a traditional venue.  Our mission is to complete the unfinished work of Ronald Reagan.  Therefore, everyone who comes to the Reagan Library for their event has the opportunity, and is encouraged to, go through the Museum.  Proceeds benefit the Foundation, the nonprofit organization that sustains the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum, Center for Public Affairs and the Presidential Learning Center. 

What events can I hold at the Reagan Library?

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Grounds can be made available for Special Events, Business Meetings, and Corporate Conferences.  Social engagements such as weddings and birthday parties are not allowed.

Are museum tours included in the facility rental price?

A mandatory $3.00 per person surcharge is required when you rent our facilities.  This fee includes a tour of the museum.  Upon request, these tours will be docent-led. 

How long can I rent the facility?

Pricing for events held at the Reagan Library are for five-hour events.  A surcharge is added for longer events, or events that run past midnight. 

How many people can the Reagan Library accommodate at my event?

We have rentable locations at the Reagan Library to accommodate intimate business meetings to large corporate events.  From meeting rooms that seat 30 to auditorium/gallery space that can seat up to 1,500 people, we have the space for your needs.  For more information on rentable locations, click here.

How can I guarantee my reservation?

Once a date has been cleared by your account manager, you will receive a formal contract.  To guarantee you reservation, a signed contract and a 50% deposit are required within 21 days. 

Do I get extra time to set-up for my event?

Our account managers will work with you to ensure you have enough time to set-up for your event.

Can I hold raffles/sell tickets at my event?

No monetary transactions may occur on our premises.  You can, however, hold silent auctions.  For more information, contact your account manager.

Can I use my own caterer?

No.  All event catering at the Reagan Library must be coordinated through our Presidential Catering division, run by Command Performance.  For more information on Presidential Catering, click here:

Can I bring my own decorations?

Certain decorations may be brought in on a case-by-case basis.  For more information, please speak to your account manager.

What amenities are included with my facility rental?

The Reagan Library has tables and folding chairs to accommodate small to medium size groups. A stage, projector and sound system are available in the Presidential Learning Center Main Hall.  Additional chairs and tables and other amenities can be rented through our Presidential Catering division.

Are linens included?

No.  Although many of our locations include tables and chairs, linens must be rented at an additional charge through Presidential Catering.

Is there enough parking at the Library to accommodate all of my guests?

The Reagan Library parking lots have over 400 parking spots, including spaces for bus parking.  Cars can also park along Presidential Drive, accommodating another 200 cars.

Can I have a cash bar at my event?

No.  However, alcohol may be served when there are no minors present at the event.  

Can I publicize my event at the Reagan Library?

Yes, however prior approval for all public dissemination of information regarding your event at the Reagan Library must be granted by the Foundation. 

What happens if I need to cancel my event?

You will be charged a 10% cancellation fee for events cancelled more than 45 days away from your event date or a 50% cancellation fee for events cancelled within 45 days of the event date.  For more information, please contact your account manager.
